US Markets
US Markets ended lower on Tuesday.Dow Jones industrial average down 50.71 points, down 0.50 percent, to 10,041.48. The Standard & Poor’s 500 index down 6.85 points, down 0.62 percent, to 1,091.06. The tech-heavy Nasdaq composite index down 12.85 points,down 0.59 percent, to 2,163.47.
European Markets
European Stocks Ended Lower
European Markets ended lower on Tuesday.Britain’s FTSE 100 index ended down 0.72 percent down 38.14 points to 5,243.40,Germany’s DAX ended down 0.70 percent down 40.79 points to 5,811.77,France’s CAC 40 down 0.54 percent 20.91 points to 3,871.45.
Commodities
Crude oil was down 52 cents to trade at $78.82 a barrel.Gold up 0.05 percent to settle at $1,059 an ounce.
