Metal stocks slide; LME metals index down 5.4%

Metal stocks slide. LME metals index was down 5.4%, which was the steepest drop since January 27.
Copper declined 6% and was at 4 week low. Aluminium, Zinc, Lead were down 6%, while Nickel declined 5%. The BSE Metal index is down close to 3%.
Metal losers globally were US steel down 9.2%, Alcoa down 8.9%, Vedanta down 8.5%, BHP Billiton down 4.4%.
