Asian markets were trading in red

Asian markets were trading in red following a slump on Wall Street. China’s Shanghai Composite was down 0.83% or 23.96 points at 2,872.33. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng plunged 3.24% or 584.75 points at 17,474.80. Japan’s Nikkei tumbled 3.095 or 303.26 points at 9,523.01. Singapore’s Straits Times slipped 2.145 or 48.52 points at 2,218.40. South Korea’s Seoul Composite fell 2.82% or 39.47 points at 1,360.24. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted declined 1.76% or 111.47 points at 6,229.74.
