CMC is flying high on better than expected results; Net profit at Rs 38.4 Cr Vs Rs 24 Cr. The stock is up 40% in today’s trade. It was trading with volumes of 39,155 shares, compared to its 5-day average of 4,401 shares, an increase of 789.60%.

CMC 2009 consolidated (YoY) Net sales at Rs 939.8 Cr vs Rs 1,064.7 Cr; Net profit at Rs 116.2 Cr Vs Rs 92.3 Cr.CMC Q4 Consolidated Net Sales at Rs 240.1 crore versus Rs 261 crore. Operating Profit at Rs 41.9 crore versus Rs 29.7 crore. Net Profit at Rs 38.4 crore versus Rs 24 crore. Raw Material Cost down from Rs 94.6 crore to Rs 53.9 crore.
